There have been rumors for the past several months about Shelton Benjamin possibly returning to WWE. Benjamin was supposed to join the Smackdown Live roster in 2016, with some vignettes even airing to advertise his debut.
A shoulder injury halted his return and as a result, Benjamin never ended up signing a contract with WWE. Fast-forward to the last few months and there were still rumors that he could be WWE bound soon. Benjamin has fully recovered from his shoulder injury that required surgery.
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet has refuted earlier reports that Benjamin hadn’t signed with WWE. He says that his sources say that a deal is now done.
It looks like Benjamin will be WWE bound very soon:

Great news for fans of Shelton. Looks like we should see him in the next few weeks or months. Maybe as a surprise for AJ Styles’ U.S Title open challenge? We will have to wait and see.
