WWE News: Scott Hall Says Bret Hart Was Selfish And He Isn’t A Fan Of Him

Razor Ramon and Bret Hart faced off at the 1993 Royal Rumble for the WWF Championship. Hart went on to win the match by submission with his patented ‘Sharpsooter’. The match was decent but not very memorable by either of their standards.

In a recent interview for Total Wrestling Magazine, Scott Hall spoke on a wide variety of different topics.  One of these topics was Bret Hart. Hall when asked about the match at the Rumble, says that Bret Hart was very selfish.

Here is what he said:

“I’m not a Bret Hart fan. To me Bret’s really selfish, if you watch, there’s points in that match where I’m hitting Bret with what’s regarded as a hell of a working punch, I’m hitting Bret and he’s not even moving, he’s not even registering it. It was what it was, he was the new champion and he needed a win, which he got”

Members of the KLIQ and Bret Hart have had issues for a number of years. Not really surprising that Hall dislikes Bret, especially with him being so vocal about the KLIQ and their backstage politics.

  1. is there really anyone you could look back on and say he wasn’t a selfish champion? I mean, don’t you have to be a little selfish just to be in that position? I doubt WWE just puts title on the silent, quiet types that hide out in the back.
bout the only two that come to mind instantly would be maybe a finn balor or AJ styles. but these guys tend to be the exception to the rule. they’re also champions under a time when WWE ratings are at some of their lowest points in history. almost pointing to the fact that WWE made them champions just to shake things up.

I gotta admit, when AJ debuted I had my doubts about his ceiling… but he blew those doors off and is probably my favorite all-around performer right now. and I never would have thought or said that when he debuted.
