There were some rumors floating around on Thursday that long-time WWE composer Jim Johnston had been released by the company. Johnston has been working with WWE for over 30 years.

For those unaware, Johnston is responsible for some of the most legendary themes in WWE history. That includes: Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ultimate Warrior, The Rock, Triple H and The Undertaker. More recently, he is responsible for the themes of Roman Reigns, Jinder Mahal & Baron Corbin.
According to reports from both Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer and Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, it does look like he has been let go by WWE.
The release doesn’t sound like it was a mutual decision and WWE chose to let him go.
WWE has been using CFO$ for most of their new themes for the past few years.
