Update On Finn Balor’s Plans For Wrestlemania 33

This weeks episode of Monday Night RAW did not feature the return of the ‘Demon King’ Finn Balor. Balor has been out of action for the past several months with a shoulder injury. It is expected that he is cleared to return and will be back at anytime now.

So what will Finn Balor be doing at Wrestlemania 33?

Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here) does not expect Balor to be featured in one of the marquee matches of Wrestlemania 33.  He does say that he will be at the event, it is just unclear if it will be a match or a segment with him involved.

A rumor going around right now is that Balor could be facing off against Samoa Joe at Wrestlemania in one of the undercard matches. It doesn’t look like Joe has an opponent for Wrestlemania, unless they do him vs Sami Zayn again.

Balor is being advertised for house shows in March for 6-man tag matches. On one side is Triple H, Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens. On the other is Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn and Balor. This indicates that he will, in fact, be returning to action before Wrestlemania 33. The only thing that remains unclear is if WWE will hold him off the card due to lack of space or if they will include him. If they want to do Joe vs Balor, they need to start that build right away as the show is only a few weeks away.
