Backstage Reaction To Bayley Getting Booed On RAW

Bayley suffered a shoulder injury last week in her match against Nia Jax and will not be able to compete at Summerslam. This week on Monday Night RAW, Bayley addressed her injury in front of the live crowd in Toronto.

Bayley was met with a loud chorus of boos while she was addressing the Toronto crowd. It is unclear if the crowd was booing Bayley’s booking or Bayley herself, but it certainly wasn’t a positive reaction. The boos certainly rattled Bayley a bit as she even addressed them during the segment.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), Vince McMahon was not happy with the segment. He says that you can tell because we heard Corey Graves emphasize Toronto as being “Bizzaro World” multiple times after.

According to Meltzer, when Vince is unhappy with the way the crowd is reacting to something he tells the announcers to say “Bizzaro World” in order to make the point that this is not a normal reaction.

You can check out the video of the segment below. It has been considerably edited with some of the boos being cut out. Bayley addressing the boos was cut along with Corey Graves saying “Bizzaro World’. There were still some boos but certainly not even close to when watching the live broadcast. This adds some validity to the idea that backstage officials were not thrilled with how the crowd reacted to Bayley.

  1. Those are big words for somebody who doesn’t know what they mean. But you would know a lot about toddlers. You have a toddler as your leader lol.

  2. Vince had no right to be unhappy or furious of anything but blame himself since he caused everything today, Bayley is being booked like a joke with “This Is Your Life” segment, let her lose at her hometown and get squashed at Extreme Rules.
