– According to Dave Meltzer, The reason why there were so many women from the past in the Rumble was that they were filming a documentary on women’s wrestling. They ended up using more returning stars than they originally planned for.
– There were also a lot of production changes on the day of the Rumble. PWInsider says that the Women’s Rumble match was always slated to close the show but the order of matches kept changing throughout the day.
– Meltzer says that the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will be getting a big promotional push this year. This is due to the HBO documentary coming out on Andre after Wrestlemania 34. This documentary could lead to more projects in the future between WWE and HBO.
– Rey Mysterio’s return is doing major numbers on Youtube. As of writing this, WWE’s video of his return has over 7 million views.
