Dean Ambrose vs Baron Corbin Getting Stipulation At Wrestlemania 33

On The March 7th episode of Smackdown Live, Baron Corbin told Dean Ambrose that he wanted to take everything from him. This was including his WWE Intercontinental Championship. The two have been feuding for the past several weeks and a Wrestlemania match seems all but confirmed.

Corbin would take out Ambrose with a steel pipe backstage on the March 7th episode. He also dropped the forks of a nearby forklift onto the throat and ribs of Ambrose. Ambrose was sent to a local medical facility for further evaluation.

Here is the latest.

There are some rumors going around that Corbin’s vicious display last night was the beginning of what will lead into a gimmick match at Wrestlemania 33. The weapons indicate that we could be seeing a street fight, falls count anywhere or something of that nature on the big stage.

Ambrose faced off in a street fight at last year’s Wrestlemania against Brock Lesnar. The match was considered a disappointment by many fans. Ambrose later said (on the Stone Cold Podcast) that he was met with laziness when coming up with the match with Brock:

“Brock’s going to be Brock. I had a vision of that match to be as crazy as possible, I went to every type of person pitching ideas. I put so much effort in and so much work in, and I was met with laziness.”

It looks like WWE could be trying to write the wrong of last year with a potential street fight between Dean Ambrose and Baron Corbin. Ambrose should have no difficulties working with Corbin, who will want to make an impact in his first singles match at Wrestlemania. Hopefully, they allow Ambrose to use some of his crazy ideas that he had last year.

Let us know what you think in the comment section below. Would you be okay with seeing a street fight (or a similar gimmick match) between Ambrose and Corbin?

  1. I don’t feel this is what wrestling is all about. It should be about fights in the ring and all the drama that goes with it.
