– According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE was paid around $100,000 per episode for the Mixed Match Challenge. Here is a quote (via Ringside News):
“I think they paid a little over — in the range of a million and a half, maybe a little less. A 100,000 or little bit over 100,000 [each episode] for Mixed Match Challenge, which was a 20-minute thing”
– With Smackdown heading to FOX, current rumors suggest that WWE stars will be featured on other FOX shows down the road. This would include things like NFL pre-game shows and more:
We’re told that Fox would include WWE talent on other Fox shows (including NFL pre-game) to promote Smackdown. A replay of the show could air on Saturdays on FS1.
