Rob Van Dam finished up his last run with the WWE back in August of 2014. RVD is a former WWE Champion and has won multiple titles for the promotion. Since leaving the company he has been working for various independent promotions.

Could Rob Van Dam be returning to the WWE in the near future? According to a recent tweet from him, that could just be the case.
Van Dam has started popping up in things for the WWE Network as of late. He was featured in the promo package for the recent Elimination Chamber PPV. He also filmed an episode of Table for 3 alongside Mick Foley and Raven. This indicates that RVD has maintained a good relationship with WWE since leaving, keeping the door open for a potential return.
RVD was asked about a WWE return later on this Summer, which he didn’t confirm or deny:
