Ronda Rousey made an appearance at Wrestlemania 31 in the segment with the Rock, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. She hip-tossed Triple H before teasing an arm bar on Stephanie McMahon.
Both Triple H and Stephanie have been outspoken in the past about their desire to have her more involved with WWE in the future. Rousey is a lifelong wrestling fan and even adopted her nickname: “Rowdy” from the legendary Roddy Piper.
Could we possibly see her in WWE soon?
Ronda last fought in the UFC in December of 2016. She lost to Amanda Nunes in convincing fashion. There have been many rumors that she will never be returning to the octagon.
This is in grain of salt territory but a lot of fans have pointed out that Ronda has followed a lot of WWE related accounts as of late. This includes: @WWE, @WWEUniverse, @BellaTwins, @NaomiWWE and @NatByNature. This has led to fan speculation that she could be making an appearance on WWE television soon.
Uproxx speculates that Ronda could be making an appearance at Summerslam to promote her appearance on the show: Battle of the Network Stars.
Like we said before, take with a grain of salt. Ronda’s star power had dwindled over the past year or so but there is no question that she would be a big pick-up for WWE. I wouldn’t be surprised if WWE dumps a truck load of money for her to wrestle a match. Love or hate her, she will still bring a ton of eyeballs onto WWE if she did make an appearance or wrestle a match.
