WWE Rumors and Speculation on Sasha Banks’ Opponent at Wrestlemania 33

As we saw this past week on RAW, Sasha Banks and Charlotte have finally moved on to new feuds. Charlotte looks to be locked into a big feud with Bayley moving forward. Sasha looks to be facing Nia Jax next. What will happen at Wrestlemania 33 in the RAW Women’s division?

A fan on twitter, asked Dave Meltzer that since it looks like Charlotte and Bayley will be feuding into Wrestlemania 33, where does that leave Sasha Banks. Meltzer says that Sasha is scheduled for a big match at the event:

This had many fans speculating that it could be against a legend of the past or maybe an NXT call-up like Asuka. Meltzer shot those down:

It also seems like he shot down the possibility of Sasha facing off against an MMA fighter at the event like Ronda Rousey or Paige VanZant. Both have been rumored for a WWE appearance over the past several months. After their names were brought up regarding Banks, Meltzer said: “boy is that out of hand”.

So where does this leave us?? According to the comments above, it indicates that her opponent is on the current roster. It could be Nia Jax but that feud will probably conclude before the big event. I think this means that Sasha will end up getting added to the Women’s Title match between Charlotte and Bayley, making it a triple threat.

  1. If the presumed match-up for charlotte is bayley, then sasha’s opponents in order should be:

    1 – asuka
    2 – becky lynch
    3 – nikki bella
    4 – paige
    5 – mickie james
    6 – alexa bliss

    nowhere on that list is nia jaxx. sorry, but there’s just nothing interesting about her. its not necessarily all her fault. WWE is terrible w/ most the NXT call-ups.

    hell, I might even put the likes of eva marie ahead of jax. at least she elicits a response.
