Why Vince McMahon Missed Extreme Rules
One of the interesting notes coming out of Extreme Rules was that Vince McMahon was reportedly not backstage. According to a report, Triple H and Billy Kidman were primarily running the show in the gorilla position. Vince was still in communication with them but not actually present. So where was Vince?
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), the story behind Vince missing the show is that he always takes a week off in the middle of July. Vince has apparently been doing this for years.
The Undertaker’s Next Match
Meltzer also adds in the Newsletter that there is a lot of talk of the Undertaker wrestling at SummerSlam this year. He adds that this isn’t confirmed just yet but the talk is there.
The Undertaker wrestling at Summerslam would make sense though. He just wrestled at WWE’s live event at Madison Square Garden recently. He is also scheduled for the WWE PPV in Australia in a few months. I think it would make sense that WWE would also want him at Summerslam if he is healthy.
