Here are some of our predictions for this week’s episode of Smackdown.
7) R-Truth Will Survive Smackdown With The 24/7 Championship
R-Truth has been finding ways to keep his 24/7 Championship and it has been pretty fun. I say that Truth is able to survive another week with the belt.
Truth seems to be doing some strong numbers for WWE as Champion. His match on the golf course with Jinder Mahal brought in a few million views for their Youtube channel this weekend. Those are some great numbers for a segment that didn’t air on RAW or Smackdown.
I say that Truth is able to leave Smackdown with the belt and we get more fun social media segments involving him and the belt over the weekend.
6) Otis Will Defeat Rowan
On the episode last week, WWE teased a future Smackdown Tag Team Title opportunity for Heavy Machinery. This came after they were involved in a promo segment with Daniel Bryan and Rowan.
Bryan is rumored to be skipping the WWE Super Showdown event in Saudi Arabia. As a result, the Smackdown Tag Team Title match likely won’t take place until WWE Stomping Grounds.
As a result, I could see Otis defeating Rowan in a singles match on the episode this week. That keeps the storyline going for another week until they can officially start the build for the tag team title match.
5) Lars Sullivan Will Destroy A Member Of Lucha House Party
Lucha House Party got the better of Lars Sullivan on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. They were able to send Lars retreating after hitting him with several dropkicks.
I think that Lars will be out for blood on Smackdown this week. I am expecting him to destroy one of the members of Lucha House Party before their handicap match on Friday.
The goal is to push Lars as a monster, so it makes sense for him to attack someone in a fit of rage after what happened.
