The Latest On The Viral Infection Affecting The WWE Locker Room

The big talk in the wrestling world over the past few days has to do with the shuffling of the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match card. It was revealed that both Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt would be off the show as they deal with what WWE is calling a ‘viral infection’. Kurt Angle and AJ Styles will be taking their places at the event.

WWE released a statement on the infection, saying that:

“We have confirmed that three of our performers have been diagnosed with a viral infection. As a precautionary measure, we are ensuring in-ring performers and staff are tested and immunized in accordance with recommended medical guidelines.”

According to Dave Meltzer on Sunday’s Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), the WWE locker room were given several different shots to test if they were also infected.

These shots were testing for: rubella, measles and the mumps. Meltzer says that it is still unclear when any of the affected talent will be back.

Wyatt’s brother: Bo Dallas appears to be the third person affected by the viral infection as he has been off the road for the past several weeks.
