We are still a long ways away from Wrestlemania 35. We have decided to put together a list of main events that we think could happen. Some are obvious candidates, others are long shots. Here are 10 matches that we think have a chance to be the main event. We will be updating our WWE Wrestlemania 35 predictions as the event draws closer.
WWE Wrestlemania 35 Predictions: 10 Possible Main Events
10) Four Horsewomen vs Four Horsewomen
– 8-Woman Tag Team Match
Ronda Rousey has exceeded expectations in the first few matches of her career. With Roman Reigns out of action, Ronda is now a serious candidate to main event Wrestlemania 35.
WWE clearly has plans to eventually do the Four Horsewomen vs Four Horsewomen match. This was teased during the Mae Young Classic back in 2017. It also seems even more obvious now that Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir are training and appearing on NXT television.
This would be the Four Horsewomen of WWE (Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Bayley) vs the Four Horsewomen of MMA (Ronda, Shayna Baszler, Shafir and Duke). When it happens, it is going to be big. Maybe WWE saves it for the main event of Wrestlemania 35?
It would be cool for Charlotte, Becky, Bayley, and Sasha to be involved in the first-ever Women’s main event of Wrestlemania. Would be nice for them to accomplish that together.
9) Braun Strowman vs Brock Lesnar
– WWE Universal Championship
Brock Lesnar defeated Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel to win the vacant WWE Universal Championship. This came after Brock hit several F5’s on Braun. Braun was also attacked prior to the match by Baron Corbin.
It seems like WWE booked the match that way in order to keep Braun vs Brock II as an option. I don’t think they would have protected Braun that much if they didn’t plan on doing a rematch. The next time they face off, Braun will probably win the Title from Brock.
Knowing Brock’s part-time schedule, I could see WWE saving this one until Wrestlemania 35. I think it will probably happen earlier but I have to include it on my list.
8) Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair
– RAW Women’s Championship
Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair has been the consensus favorite over the past year to main event Wrestlemania 35. The match is now happening at Survivor Series, which has obviously changed a lot.
Even though this match is happening at Survivor Series, there is still a chance that it could main event Wrestlemania 35. Charlotte vs Ronda at Survivor Series could be a great match and could go to some sort of a non-finish. This would save a rematch for down the road.
This would require some great storytelling by WWE to keep fans invested for the second time. I am not sure if they can pull it off. Still, I think the match is on the table for Wrestlemania and we have to include it on this list.
