WWE Quotes That Will Make You Cry

2) Chris Benoit On The Eddie Guerrero Tribute Show

This quote might not seem sad at face value, but if you put it with some context, it becomes heartbreaking. Chris Benoit spoke at the Eddie Guerrero tribute show about how Eddie was the one friend that he could open up to and go to for help. As we know now, Chris Benoit murdered his wife and child, we can only help but wonder if this could have been avoided if Eddie was still around for him to talk to:

“He was the one friend that I had that I could go to and pour my heart out to if I was going through something, if I had a personal issue, a personal problem, he was the one guy that I could call and, and talk to and, y’know, that he would understand and he would talk me out of it, y’know, because of all the experiences that he’d been through”

Heartbreaking looking at it all of these years later.

1) Roddy Piper Predicts His Demise

Piper appeared in 2003 on ‘Real Sports With Bryan Gumbel’ and spoke about his life as a professional wrestler. He was fired immediately by WWE after it aired.

“What would you have me do at 49 when my pension plan I can’t take out until 65. I’m not going to make 65.  Let’s just face facts, guys.”

Piper died at the age of 61. One of the saddest WWE quotes in history.
