Kurt Angle WWE Return Rumor

There has been an interesting rumor circulating on the internet about a possible Kurt Angle WWE return. I will try to go step by step.

On a recent appearance on the Mark Madden sports radio show (based in Pittsburgh where Kurt is from), Kurt reportedly told the host that he had talked to Triple H about 6 weeks ago regarding a Kurt Angle WWE return. (Kurt was on the show promoting the Pittsburgh Pirates: ‘Legends Of Wrestling‘ night at their ball park).

The only information we had initially was from a guy listening who tweeted about it:

@davemeltzerWON Kurt Angle on Madden’s show on WWE. “I am coming back, I just don’t know when.” Said he talked to HHH 6 wks ago.

Usually this wouldn’t be enough to warrant a story (because the guy could be making it up) but it was Re-Tweeted by Dave Meltzer who is is known for being a respective WWE reporter. PWInsider also ran a story on it that features some more details on his appearance.

What does this mean? And why would Kurt Angle spoil the surprise of a WWE return??

Well he doesn’t mention a timeframe or anything like that, just that he has spoken to Triple H about a return. I think it is obvious that Kurt wanted to end his career with one last appearance or run in the WWE based on his previous interviews.

I personally would love a Kurt Angle WWE return. I think it would be great to see him back on WWE TV considering he hasn’t been with the company for almost a decade. If he isn’t able to wrestle full-time, at least bring him back to manage American Alpha (which he has mentioned wanting to do in the past).
