8) The Story Of When The Undertaker Made A WWE Employee Write Him An Essay

To solve backstage issues in the WWE, there was a thing called ‘Wrestler’s Court’. If you did something to disrespect the wrestling business or did something stupid, the boys backstage would take you to ‘court’.

On an episode of Talk is Jericho, former WWE head writer Brian Gewirtz spoke about The Undertaker being the judge when he had to go to ‘wrestlers court’:

Chris Jericho:

“I don’t know if he was for your one, but Undertaker was always the judge … if you were sentenced, you would have to pay him with alcohol”

Gewirtz ended up being found guilty backstage of something and the Undertaker prosecuted him:

Brian Gewirtz:

“Obviously Taker’s the man, obviously, so he had me write an essay on why I respect the business, which I legitimately wrote and handed in. He read it, and it was a surreal experience” (Source: Talk is Jericho).

Have to respect the old school mentality of the Deadman.

7) The Story Of When The Undertaker Choked Out Kurt Angle While On A Plane

In his book, Kurt Angle talks about the Undertaker choking him out while they were on a plane ride together. Vince McMahon and Angle were play fighting on a plane ride, seeing if they could take each other down. The ruckus woke up the Undertaker, who choked out Angle to defend his boss.

Here is an excerpt from the book:

“The quintessential alpha male, Vince McMahon always liked to prove himself, even against Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle. On a plane ride, Vince decided to sneak up behind Angle and take him down amateur-style, starting an impromptu match in the aisle.

The ruckus woke a sleeping Undertaker who, seeing his boss about to get put in his place, sprang into action and took out Angle before he knew what hit him. That’s company loyalty” (Source: It’s True! It’s True!)
