The September 5th episode of Smackdown Live is officially in the books. The show saw Randy Orton face off against Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event. We also saw Shane McMahon get suspended indefinitely for attacking Kevin Owens. We decided to put together some of the best and worst moments from the show.

WORST #1: Smackdown’s Booking Of Sami Zayn

This week on Smackdown Live, Sami Zayn faced off against Aiden English. This was a rematch from last week where English defeated him with the help of Kevin Owens.

Sami lost the rematch this week in only a couple of minutes, giving English two straight victories against him. I couldn’t help but wonder after the match was over, what the heck is WWE doing with Sami Zayn?

It feels like he has been directionless for the past few months. Another loss against English shows us that this probably isn’t changing anytime soon. It is frustrating because he has the potential to be the best babyface on the Smackdown roster. It feels like WWE doesn’t want to pull the trigger on him.

SmackDown certainly hasn’t been the Sami Zayn savior we were hoping for. Still spinning his wheels. Damn shame.

Maybe I am biased as a Sami fan, but feel like he deserves better.  His booking gets a thumbs down from me this week.

BEST #1: Smackdown’s Booking Of The Shane and Owens Storyline

While I wasn’t a fan of the booking of Sami Zayn, I am fully behind what WWE is doing right now with Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon. Shane was suspended indefinitely by WWE after attacking Owens this week. This came after Owens took a couple of shots at Shane and crossed the line by mentioning his family.

Kevin Owens threatened to sue WWE and Shane McMahon for what happened. At the end of the show we were left with the cliffhanger of Vince McMahon appearing next week to address the situation.

Have to give credit to WWE here to building this storyline. I am completely invested in what happens next between Shane and Owens. Can’t wait to see what Vince says and if this leads to a match. They are doing this storyline right!

Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens is seriously one of the best programs on WWE television. The storyline development has been second to none.
