On Monday Night RAW this week, fans saw something that we don’t often see. That would be straight wrestling for the first two hours of the show. The participants in the Men’s Elimination Chamber faced off in a gauntlet match on RAW. This took up the entire first two hours of the show.

So who was responsible for making this match happen?
Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that the person behind the gauntlet match was actually Vince McMahon.
This apparently surprised some people backstage because Vince suggested it “out of nowhere”. He is traditionally said to be not very high on these type of matches.

The match was reportedly laid out and Vince approved the length and presentation of the show.
There were some fans thinking that this had to be a Triple H call since it was so different from what we usually see. Looks like we can thank Vince for it.
