Bobby Roode’s Theme “Glorious” – Who It Was Originally Meant For

Bobby Roode has taken the NXT Universe by storm over the past several months. In less than a year with the company, he became NXT Champion by defeating Shinsuke Nakamura. Fans have been enjoying his in-ring work but there is no doubt that his ‘GLORIOUS’ persona has put him over the top.

Fans have fallen in love with Bobby Roode’s theme music: “Glorious Domination” by CFO$.

You might not know that the music was not actually created for him.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), the “Glorious Domination” theme was actually written specifically as an option for Shinsuke Nakamura.

Nakamura was apparently very hands on with the creation of his theme and didn’t think that it fit him and his persona. He passed on it and went on to choose “The Rising Son” song that has become super popular.

After Nakamura passed over it, the song was given to Roode and the ‘Glorious One’ was born. This has played a massive role in Roode’s success and it fits his new character perfectly.

It seems like this is a situation that worked out perfectly for both guys. I can’t imagine either of them without their signature themes.
