Chris Jericho Reveals The Name He Suggested For The Women’s Battle Royal And Vince McMahon’s Response

On a recent episode of Talk is Jericho, Chris Jericho previewed the matches at Wrestlemania 34. One of the highlights was Jericho revealing the name that he pitched to Vince McMahon for the Wrestlemania Women’s Battle Royal.

The match was originally named after Fabulous Moolah. After fans expressed their outrage, WWE ended up changing the name.

Jericho revealed that he pitched to Vince McMahon to name the match after Sherri Martel.

“I actually texted Vince and said, “You should call it the Sensational Invitational” and name it after Sherri Martel.

Vince politely declined:

“He sent me a “thx” back. “Thanks.”

The ‘Sensational Invitational’ sounds a lot better than the Wrestlemania Women’s Battle Royal to me. Would have been a great idea.
