Chris Jericho was recently a guest on Rock 100.5’s Bailey and Southside. The show runs Monday to Friday and is based out of Atlanta. Jericho spoke on a wide variety of topics from his wrestling career to his current work with Fozzy.

One of the topics of interest during the interview was about his “Stupid Idiot” catchphrase that was a fixture on WWE television over the past year.
According to Jericho, Vince McMahon told him that he is the only person in the world that could get something like that over:
“They’re chanting it now, ‘stupid idiot’ and I remember when I started saying that, Vince was like, ‘nobody could say this, nobody can get away with this, but you can. You’re the only guy in the world who could do this’ because when I started using ‘stupid idiot,’ it got heat. I would call the fans, ‘you’re a stupid idiots’ and they’d be like, ‘boo!’ and then, like everything else, suddenly people loved it.”
He is right. Jericho has an incredible ability to get things over with the fans. ‘Stupid Idiot’, ‘The List of Jericho’ and ‘drink it in maaaan’ immediately come to mind.
