Daniel Bryan’s Doctor Comments On The Decision To Clear Bryan To Return

The major story this week in WWE is Daniel Bryan getting medically cleared to return to the ring. Bryan had been extremely vocal about returning to wrestling since being forced to retire. He finally got his wish.

Dr. Robert Cantu was one of a handful of doctors that cleared Bryan to return to the ring. The final decision was ultimately made by WWE’s Medical Director Dr. Joseph Maroon.

Dr. Cantu recently spoke with Newsweek about Daniel’s health.

Here is what Dr. Cantu said about Bryan and his decision to clear him.

“I evaluated Bryan for a neurological opinion on return to WWE on February 26, 2018. Included in his medical records were multiple evaluations by renowned concussion clinicians. I determined that Bryan is currently asymptomatic, has a normal detailed neurological and cognitive neuropsychological examination, normal EEG, and an MRI that showed no definite evidence of a prior brain injury. It is my medical opinion that there is no absolute contraindication to his return to in-ring action in WWE.”

Here is what Bryan will have to do after every match until WWE feels comfortable with him being 100% good to go.
