If you were a WWE fan back in the day, you likely remember the WWE Backlash PPV. The event ran every year from 1999 to 2009 as a monthly PPV special. You might remember some of the classic main events like: Stone Cold vs The Rock in a no holds barred match in 1999 with Shane McMahon as special guest referee. Also Randy Orton and Cactus Jack put on a violent display back in 2004. The WWE Backlash event is returning very soon and here are all the details!
The event will take place on September 11th 2016 in the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia.
The WWE has just began listing it on their website. Here is the new logo they display from their website:
A bit plain to say the least. It might be temporary or they might be going with it for the event.
WWE.com is advertising photos of Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, Aj Styles and Becky Lynch. All five of these stars were drafted to the Smackdown brand during the recent WWE Draft so we can assume that this will be a Smackdown specific PPV.
Tickets go on sale starting July 30th. You can find all the information here from ticketmaster.
This will be the first brand specific WWE PPV After Summerslam. The WWE also has Clash Of The Champions listed on September 25th so we can assume it will be RAW specific.
