A few days ago, we noted that Akam of AOP was dealing with an injury. That explains why AOP has disappeared from the RAW Tag team division for the past few weeks.
We have an injury update to pass your way.
According to Dave Meltzer of f4wonline, Akam underwent knee surgery a few days ago. Here is a quote from Meltzer:
“Akam (Sunny Dhinsa) underwent knee surgery this past week and will be out of action for two months, which is why AOP has disappeared.
The Revival
were sent on the road in their place on the Raw house shows.”
Two months will be a close call for Wrestlemania 35. We will have to wait and see how his recovery goes and if WWE chooses to put AOP on the card when Akam is back. Definitely a bummer though and we wish him the best in his recovery.
