Injury Update On Dolph Ziggler

Something that went under the radar this week was Dolph Ziggler potentially dealing with an injury. Rumors started to circulate over the past 24 hours that Ziggler injured his foot.

Ziggler competed at Survivor Series in the Men’s elimination match. After that, he didn’t end up wrestling on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

Dave Meltzer provided an update on Dolph’s injury in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here).

Meltzer confirms that Ziggler did recently suffer a foot injury. While saying that, there is some good news.

Ziggler’s X-Rays reportedly showed that there was no break. This is great news as it was originally feared that Ziggler had broken his foot.

That means it will likely only keep him out for a short period of time. Meltzer says that he could be back as early as next week if all things go well. He is going to be evaluated again by WWE at the Starrcade event this weekend.

We will let you know if we hear anything more on Ziggler over the next few days. It doesn’t look to be anything serious though.

On a related note, here is the latest on the plans for the Universal Championship match at Wrestlemania 35.
