Jim Cornette was recently featured on the WWE Network show: Table for 3. He joined Michael ‘PS’ Hayes and Eric Bischoff to shoot the breeze about their careers and the professional wrestling business today.

We have previously covered the three Wrestlemania caliber matches that Cornette, Hayes and Bischoff would book if they were in charge of WWE today. [Note: Hayes is a producer but Vince McMahon has final say].
Cornette also spoke a little bit about what he thinks is wrong with wrestling today. Here is what he said:
“The concept has changed from the most important thing being presenting a believable simulated conflict that the people can buy as a fight to a performance of awe-inspiring, athletic moves. And I think the problem is they think they’re going to do the moves and that’s going to get them over and they’ve put the cart before the horse. Now, it’s hard for anybody to really work up a good dislike for a heel or hero-worship and idolatry for the babyface.”

This is a pretty topical point based on Randy Orton’s comments about independent wrestling a few weeks ago.
