Kane was recently a guest on ‘the Ross Report’ podcast hosted by Jim Ross. He spoke a lot about his current run as a mayoral candidate in Knox County, Tennessee. He also talked a bit about his wrestling career.
There has been a longstanding rumor that Kane once defeated Brock Lesnar in an arm wrestling match. Looking at Brock Lesnar, that would be one heck of an accomplishment for anybody.
Kane downplayed the rumors but he does say that there was this once time where he matched Brock in weightlifting. Here is what he said on the podcast:
“Years and years ago, Brock and I were at the gym at the same time and we were throwing around some serious weight. And we didn’t really have a weightlifting challenge, but we were throwing around some serious weight. Brock was impressed and he gets on it and we were matching each other pretty well. But yeah, I’ve heard that story and it [has] morphed into various incarnations, so yeah, no, there was never an arm wrestling match because mine is still intact, so there you go.”
We might never know. Kane seems too modest of a guy to ever admit it, even if he did defeat Brock.
