The first 5-star match for Kenny Omega came back in 2016. This was on Day 18 of the 2016 G1 Climax. Omega faced off against Tetsuya Naito in what turned out to be a really good match.
Omega would pick up the win and would go on to win the G1.
Kenny Omega vs Chris Jericho
Event – NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 12 (2018) | Rating: 5 Stars
Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega faced off at Wrestle Kingdom 12. This match had a ton of hype coming in because Jericho had been such a large part of WWE Television just a few months prior.
Omega and Jericho ended up delivering a really fun match against one another. It received 5 stars from Meltzer.
Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi vs. The Young Bucks
Event – NJPW Strong Style Evolved 2018 | Rating: 5 Stars
The Golden Lovers took on the Young Bucks at NJPW’s Strong Style Evolved event in 2018. This was a really, really fun tag team match with both teams telling a great story.
Not too often that we see tag team matches receive 5 stars but this match did.
Kenny Omega vs Tetsuya Naito
Event: NJPW G1 Climax – Day 2 – 2018 | Rating: 5 Stars
Omega and Naito faced off on Day 2 of the 2018 G1 Climax. These two put on a classic match last year in the G1 and did so again this year.
Omega ended up picking up the win.

Event: NJPW G1 Climax – Day 4 – 2018 | Rating: 5 Stars
Omega and Goto faced off on Day 4 of the 2018 G1 Climax. This was the first 5-star rating of Goto’s career!

Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi vs Kazuchika Okada and Tomohiro Ishii
Event: NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed 2018 | Rating: 5 Stars
A great tag team match happened at NJPW’s Fighting Spirit Unleashed event in 2018. Omega and Ibushi faced off against Okada and Ishii at the event. The match went for around 23 minutes.
The match was eventually won by Omega and Ibushi.

Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi & Will Ospreay in a fun tag team match. This was on the road to Wrestle Kingdom 13.
The Golden Lovers picked up the win.

Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi faced off in the B Block final of the 2018 G1 Climax. Kota Ibushi won the match via pinfall to win the Block.

The 2021 edition of the Full Gear PPV featured a match for the AEW World Championship. This was between Kenny Omega and Hangman Page.

Event – NJPW G1 Climax 2017 – Day 19 | Rating: 5.75 Stars
Kenny Omega and Tetsuya Naito faced off on Day 19 of the NJPW G1 Climax in 2017. This match turned out to be really, really good. Naito would win the match and became the G1 winner as a result.
This is one of a handful of Kenny Omega matches that has broken Meltzer’s typical 5-star rating scale. Meltzer gave it 5.75 stars.
Kenny Omega vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi
Event: NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 13 – 2019 | Rating: 5.75 Stars
Omega and Tanahashi faced off in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 13. This was for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Tanahashi went on to win the Title after almost 40 minutes.
This initially received 5.5 stars. Meltzer later revised it to 5.75.

Event – NJPW Wrestle Kingdom XI (2017) | Rating: 6 stars
At Wrestle Kingdom 11, Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada faced off in the main event. They ended up tearing down the house in what was an incredible match.
This was the first match of their legendary rivalry. Meltzer gave it 6 stars.

Event – NJPW G1 Climax 2017 – Day 18 | Rating: 6 stars
Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega faced off on Day 18 of the 2017 NJPW G1 Climax. This was their third encounter against one another. As you probably expected, they put on another awesome match.
Meltzer gave it 6 stars.
Kenny Omega and Adam Page vs The Young Bucks
Event: AEW Revolution 2020 | Rating: 6 Stars
Kenny Omega and ‘Hangman’ Page put their AEW Tag Team Championships on the line against The Young Bucks at AEW’s Revolution PPV. This was a really great match that went for about 30 minutes.
Omega and Page ended up winning to retain their Titles. Meltzer gave this 6 stars and said that it was one of the best tag team matches that he had ever seen.

Event – NJPW Dominion 2017 | Rating: 6.25 stars
The second match in the rivalry between Omega and Okada took place at the 2017 edition of Dominion. Another great match between these two.
Meltzer ended up giving it 6.25 stars.

Kenny Omega vs Kazuchika Okada
Event – NJPW Dominion 2018 | Rating: 7 stars
Omega and Okada went for over an hour at the 2018 edition of Dominion. Omega went on to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, ending the incredible run of Okada.
This match broke Meltzer’s rating scale (again). He awarded it 7 stars, which is the highest rating that he has ever given out.
