Earlier this week, it was reported that the likely direction of the Kurt Angle and Corey Graves storyline [on RAW] is leading to Angle’s in-ring return . The likely opponent would be Triple H, where him and Angle would rekindle their beef that is over 15 years old.

Rumors were also flying that this match could take place at Summerslam where WWE is looking to making the event as big as possible this year. A Triple H vs Kurt Angle match would certainly fit that bill.
This report had many wrestling fans excited about the possibility of Angle wrestling again. Angle himself has been very adamant that he wants to compete again.
Not so fast. ProWrestlingSheet.com’s James Mckenna recently noted on Twitter that he has heard that WWE doesn’t want Angle involved in any contact:
for what its worth regarding angle – last i heard WWE was adamant on angle being 100% no contact. would bet money on not seeing him in ring.

Mckenna has broken a few big news stories this year, including: the first ever Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match a few weeks prior to it being officially announced.
We will obviously have to wait and see what happens but just wanted to bring another side to the story here. Angle returning to the ring isn’t a 100% guarantee like some fans believe.
