The Women’s elimination match has some buzz surrounding it heading into Sunday. That mostly stems from the mystery partner who will be named on Sunday to Team Smackdown Live. RAW features: Alicia Fox, Asuka, Nia Jax, Sasha Banks & Bayley. Smackdown features: Becky Lynch, Carmella, Naomi, Tamina & someone to still be named.
So who will be the 5th Woman on Smackdown’s team?
Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), says he was told that the 5th member is going to be Natalya. WWE still could change their minds as we get closer to the show but as of right now, he was told Natalya will be in that spot.
This would certainly be a bit strange though as WWE is portraying that the 5th member is going to be a surprise. Natalya really wouldn’t be a surprise if it is her. Paige is the heavy speculation among fans. She was backstage at RAW this week and was rumored to return. It didn’t happen on Monday night so fans are left wondering if they are saving her for Sunday night. A few months ago, it was reported that the plan was for Paige to join Smackdown’s roster, so I wouldn’t count out her being in this spot.
Another name coming up a lot in speculation is Nikki Bella. There are no reports or substance to her returning though.
