We noted earlier this weekend that Impact Wrestling had filed for some ‘Broken Universe’ trademarks. This included: ‘Broken Matt’, ‘Brother Nero’, ‘Vanguard1’ and ‘Broken Brilliance’. It appears as if the company isn’t ready to allow Matt to use the gimmick in WWE.

Much has been made about the current battle between Impact and Matt. It looks like we will be heading to a court case over ownership of the gimmick.
Matt recently responded to a fan, saying that Impact is holding his creation ‘hostage’:
