New Weekly WWE In-Ring Show Reportedly Coming Soon With Potential Impact On 205 Live

A new weekly in-ring show could be coming soon to WWE but not on the WWE Network.

According to a report from Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE is in talks with Facebook to air a weekly show on Facebook Live. Here are some details according to the report from Satin:

– The show would start in January of 2018 and would go live after Smackdown goes off the air.

– Facebook Live would be a test run for the show.

– Satin reports that an idea that has been discussed is to film 205 Live before Smackdown, instead of after like they are currently doing. This isn’t confirmed and only an idea at this point.

– Plans have changed for the show a few times but it seems to be that both RAW and Smackdown stars will compete. An idea for a mixed tag team concept has been thrown around. The report teases: “interesting combinations of male and female wrestlers”.

Not mentioned in the report but WWE previously filed for the trademark: ‘WWE Mixed Match Challenge’ which could be relevant here.
