No Mercy 2017 Predictions – 6 Potential Finishes For Brock Lesnar vs Braun Strowman

Potential Finish #5

Outside Interference

A possible finish for the match between Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman at No Mercy is outside interference. The biggest reason for this would be if WWE wants to take the title off Brock, but doesn’t want him to lose cleanly.

The idea (in my mind at least) would be that someone interferes and takes out Lesnar. This would lead to Lesnar being involved in a feud that does not involve the WWE Universal Title.

Samoa Joe is currently out of action with a knee injury. If he is able to return in time, he would be the biggest candidate for this spot. Joe costs Brock the title, which sets up a second match between them. There were rumors that Brock really enjoyed his match with Joe at the Great Balls of Fire Pay-Per-View. Maybe it turns into a long-term thing?

In our heads it would make sense for Joe to cost him the title and write him off television for a while. Lesnar vs Joe II happens at one of the big Pay-Per-Views (Survivor Series or Royal Rumble). Joe is able to defeat Brock in their second clash, which would set up the trilogy match at Wrestlemania 34.

It all depends on if Joe’s knee is good to go. If not, this is just a pipe dream.

Potential Finish #6

Paul Heyman Turns On Brock Lesnar, Sides With Braun Strowman

One finish that is being theorized by some fans is that Paul Heyman will turn on Brock Lesnar and cost him the title. Many WWE fans know this is something that happened 15 years ago when Heyman turned on Lesnar to help the Big Show win the WWE Title.

Braun Strowman has been very impressive so far during this feud with Brock. He has gotten the better of Lesnar on a consistent basis.

If you have listened closely to the promos from Paul Heyman, he has been putting over Strowman very strong. He consistently has been talking about how Strowman is the biggest threat to Brock Lesnar that we have ever seen. Maybe this is a hint of what is to come, Heyman turns on Lesnar and sides with Strowman as his new manager.

It could be a pretty intriguing storyline. Heyman trading in Brock for the younger and bigger monster. This would lead to Brock vs Braun at another Pay-Per-View (maybe even Wrestlemania 34).

If Lesnar isn’t planning on sticking with WWE long-term, this could be a pretty fun storyline for him to end his career on. This has the lowest chance of happening but would be fun.
