Braun Strowman Wins The Title

If WWE wants to really get people talking, they will have Braun Strowman win the WWE Universal Title at No Mercy.

It is certainly believable based on how much Strowman has dominated Brock over the past several weeks. WWE has framed this feud as Brock being the underdog, something that we rarely (if ever) see.

Strowman has been on the receiving end of a monster push from WWE. He is getting over with the crowd on a weekly basis and is getting one of the loudest ovations on the roster. He has the size, the power and the look that Vince McMahon loves. He also has some incredible athleticism that we aren’t accustomed to seeing from such a big man.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Vince said screw it and put the title on Strowman. Defeating Brock for the title is one heck of a way to put Strowman over (even more so) as a monster.

Take Brock off television for a few months after the vicious beating that Strowman gives him and give fans a massive rematch at the Royal Rumble.

There is a chance that Strowman walks out with the belt on Sunday.

Brock Lesnar Cheats To Win

A way for WWE to keep Strowman looking good in a loss at No Mercy would be to have Brock Lesnar cheat to retain his WWE Universal Championship.

Brock has been man-handled by Braun for the past several weeks. After getting dominated in the match on Sunday, maybe Brock has to resort to cheating to hold onto his belt.

A few reasons why I think that this could work:

• It would extend the feud between Lesnar and Strowman to a second match.
• It would keep Strowman looking strong in a loss.
• It keeps the title on Lesnar (if that’s what WWE’s long-term goal is)
• It would put over how big of a threat that Strowman is, since Brock needed to cheat to defeat him.

Would be an interesting way for WWE to book it, but I see it as a possibility.
