If you haven’t heard the news, Becky Lynch will be appearing in the new movie: The Marine 6: Close Quarters. She will be starring alongside the Miz and Shawn Michaels. It is unclear what her role will be just yet.
This is awesome news for Becky. While saying that, this is going to have a big impact on how much you see the ‘Irish Lasskicker’ on a weekly basis on WWE programming.
Becky Lynch was attacked backstage on Smackdown Live this week by Ruby Riot, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan. This was done in order to write her off Smackdown Live for the next several weeks. The movie begins filming on Monday, which means Becky will be off television from now on. The Miz also lost the Intercontinental Title this week on RAW and was written off television with a post-match powerbomb by the Shield.
This is only speculation by us but it could also explain why Becky was eliminated first from the Survivor Series elimination match. Fans were concerned that Becky was being buried since she was the first one out. It looks like her being off television for the next little while could explain why WWE eliminated her so quickly. No sense in keeping her in the match late if she isn’t going to be on TV for the next little while.
With the build towards Clash of Champions starting this week, we can assume that Becky will be off the Pay-Per-View. Her return date is unknown but we will let you know if we hear anything.
