Roman Reigns defeated The Miz in the main event of Monday Night RAW this week to become the new Intercontinental Champion. After RAW went off the air, the Shield proceeded to put the Miz through the announce table.

According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the reason why the Miz dropped the title is because he is taking some time off to film a movie.
A source says that The Miz will be filming another installment of The Marine franchise from WWE studios, where he has starred in the last 3.
PWInsider is told that there is no timetable for the Miz’s return and last night was his final appearance until filming is completed. The powerbomb to the Miz after RAW went off the air seems to be the way that WWE chose to write him off television:
