Report On Roman Reigns Being Ordered To Apologize After WWE Suspension

As you likely have seen by now, Roman Reigns apologized on Twitter after news broke about his WWE Suspension. Reigns was suspended 30 days for violating the WWE’s wellness policy but remains in the main event of WWE Battleground on July 24th. We still don’t know what Reigns did to violate the policy and I doubt we will ever know for sure.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required but recommended), Reigns was ordered to apologize to the entire locker room (individually) backstage at RAW before he left to fly home. The orders reportedly came down from the chain of command by Triple H.

I see two sides to this. On one hand, it would be pretty humiliating for Reigns to have to apologize to the entire locker room. He made a mistake and was probably already pretty embarrassed by what happened. Having to go person to person after you know you messed up would be horrible.

On the other hand, Roman Reigns has been the focal point of WWE TV for the past several months. Being the top guy in the company comes with it tremendous responsibility. Some of the guys he has worked with have spent the last couple months putting Reigns over (trying not to sound too insider here) and building him up.

I can also understand why Triple H would be upset, considering he is a wrestler who knows what these guys go through on a daily basis. He also worked hard to build Reigns up over the past couple months.

Something like this is a slap in the face of the locker room who have done their part and I think I am okay with Reigns having apologize to everyone.

Regardless it is over now and I just hope that Reigns returns and learns from his mistakes. Use this time to re-evaluate himself personally and his character to come back stronger than ever!
