Roman Reigns Health Update

The big story in the wrestling world over the past few days was Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt being pulled from the Tables, Ladders and Chairs event due to what WWE called a ‘viral infection’. This nixed the Shield reunion match that was supposed to take place at the event and Reigns was replaced by Kurt Angle.

Here are some more details on Roman Reigns thanks to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here) following the TLC Pay-Per-View.

Meltzer confirmed that Roman Reigns has the mumps. The mumps was one of the three things that WWE was testing for after the news broke. As noted prior, the WWE locker room were given shots to test if they were also infected.

Reigns and anyone else affected is going to be evaluated next Monday (October 30th), to see if they are ready to return. This means that Reigns won’t be on RAW this week and could miss next week as well if he isn’t fully healthy.

There is still a fear according to Meltzer that there could be more people infected.

As we noted prior, rumors suggest that WWE will be making some major changes to their RAW plans over the next few weeks with Reigns out of action.

The health of those infected is the most important thing at the moment. Wishing them all a speedy recovery.
