There is usually an Iron Man in every Royal Rumble match. This means that a WWE star enters the match early and is able to survive for a long period of time in the match. We have even seen some WWE stars last over an hour in the match. Here is who we think are candidates to be this years Royal Rumble Iron Man.
Note: These aren’t selected as potential winners of the match, just who will last the longest.
Seth Rollins
I think Seth Rollins is a strong candidate for this years Iron Man. It would be a pretty great story if he was forced to enter the Royal Rumble match in the first few spots by Stephanie McMahon. He lasts for a large majority of the match until Triple H eventually screws him over. This could help further the feud between Rollins and Triple H.
Sami Zayn
WWE fans know that Sami is an underdog that they want to cheer for. What better storytelling than to have Sami Zayn enter the Royal Rumble from an early spot and survive for a long period of time? A great performance in this years Rumble could help elevate the stock of Zayn even more.
Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose is WWE’s work horse, wrestling the most matches for the company in the past 2 years. I could easily see WWE putting him in an early spot in the match and having him last until near the end. I don’t see him winning but I could see him putting on a great performance.

Cesaro
I don’t think there is any real shot of Cesaro winning but I could see WWE throwing him in early. Many WWE fans know that Cesaro is impressive inside of the ring. Why not let him show it for a long duration of the match?
Dark horses: Heath Slater, Luke Harper, Chad Gable.
