There is no denying that The Rock is one of the biggest movie stars in the world. Unfortunately for wrestling fans, that means his appearances on WWE television have become rare.
We have a rumor to pass your way about the Rock’s next WWE appearance.
According to Ad Age, The Rock is rumored to be appearing on Smackdown next week. Here is what the report says:
While many other opening night appearances are being kept under wraps, keep an eye peeled for the trash-talking Goliath who is now the WWE’s most storied alum, as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may very well look to pop in on the 20th anniversary of “SmackDown” and promote his upcoming Disney flick, “Jungle Cruise.”
The Rock’s catchphrase inspired the name of Smackdown, so it would make all the sense in the world for him to appear. Plus, this would be a great spot for The Rock to plug his upcoming projects. I think that it makes sense for both sides.
