Brock Lesnar won the Universal Championship at Extreme Rules. This came after he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Seth Rollins.
We have a rumor to pass your way about why WWE had Brock cash-in at Extreme Rules.
According to journalist Tom Colohue, Brock cashed in because of how thin the RAW roster is right now. Here is what he Tweeted:
My Take: I definitely believe this as WWE did not build up many strong challengers for Seth (for after Extreme Rules). In my original Summerslam predictions, I was guessing that we would be getting Seth vs Braun Strowman for the Universal Title. Other than Strowman, nobody has really been built up as a top Title contender on RAW. Now, it looks like we are getting Brock vs Seth at Summerslam.
