Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Top Guy Wants To Work With NXT Stars
According to a report from WrestleTalk, Randy Orton has pitched the idea to WWE management of him working with some of the guys from NXT.
Tommaso Ciampa is a specific name that is mentioned, along with Adam Cole. Here is an excerpt from their report:
Well it seems like Randy Orton knew what he was doing, as WrestleTalk has learned that the multi-time WWE Champion is hoping to work with someone from NXT over the coming months.
Our sources tell us that Randy Orton has thrown about the idea of working with some of NXT’s roster, with Ciampa being one of the people he would be keen to work with. We’ve also heard that other names such as Adam Cole have been discussed.
My Take:
- I would absolutely love to see Orton face Ciampa. Orton is firing on all cylinders right now and I think that it could really help the career of whoever he works with. Ciampa vs Orton has been a match that I have wanted to see for a long, long time and I think that it could be really good. Orton vs Adam Cole would also be really good.
4) Charlotte Flair’s Return
There have been rumors for the past few days that Charlotte Flair could be out of action for several months. This comes after she was written off television with an injury.
Charlotte was recently interviewed by Sport Hiatus. During this, she revealed that she will only be off WWE television for a few weeks. Here is what she said:
Yes, I’ll only be gone for a few weeks. They can still play things on the WWE Network [to keep fans thinking about me], but utilizing my social media will be most important while I’m gone… No one is going to miss me. They’re still going to feel like I’m there is basically what I’m saying. I’m gone but I’m not really gone.
My Take:
- This makes it sound like Summerslam is possible for her return timeline. We will have to wait and see though. Regardless, I think that time away will be good for Charlotte and fans will start to miss her a bit.
