1) Backstage Heat On Velveteen Dream
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (subscribe here), there is some backstage heat on Velveteen Dream. This comes after he made his return on the latest episode of NXT.
Here is what Sapp wrote about the situation:
“There has long been significant heat on Velveteen Dream for behavioral issues and what is perceived as preferential treatment in multiple situations that would have had most anyone else fired. This was also the case with his return.”
There are some sexual misconduct allegations floating around about Dream. He also had an arrest warrant last year over allegations that he smashed a car window.
Dream and Finn Bálor will face off next week in a second-chance qualifier for the NXT North American Championship match at TakeOver 30.
My Take:
- I love Dream as a performer but I can see where the NXT locker room would be upset. If it was a lower card talent, they would likely be fired by WWE or at least kept off television for a long time. Not a great situation all around.
