5) Big Plans For Summerslam

According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, WWE is planning for Summerslam to be on par with Wrestlemania. John Cena wrestling at the event is only the beginning of what is to come.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

As PWInsider.com has reported, WWE’s intention is for Summerslam to effectively be “this year’s Wrestlemania” so expect lots of other names popping up to bolster the show.

My Take:

  • I am definitely excited for Summerslam. Going to be fun as hell.

4) Note On The Peacock Issues With Money In The Bank

Mike Johnson of PWinsider provided some details on why WWE didn’t pause Money in the Bank when many viewers were having issues watching on Peacock. According to Johnson, WWE wasn’t initially aware that there were issues as the problems didn’t occur in Fort Worth, where the show was taking place. The issues also didn’t affect the International streams on the WWE Network.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

We’ve had some readers ask why WWE didn’t pause Money in the Bank while there were streaming issues.

The short answer is that WWE wasn’t initially aware there were any issues.  The problems were only with Peacock in the United States and the issues were not emanating from Fort Worth, Texas, where WWE is broadcasting the show.

The WWE Network, internationally, had zero issues, therefore the company kept going because they had their international audience watching.

The issue was coming from wherever Peacock was picking up the stream and then sending it out to their subscribers.  It was not anything to do with WWE itself.

My Take:

  • I am from Canada, so I had no issues. I would be pissed off if I was a viewer on Peacock though.
