3) Backstage Note On Vince McMahon
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), many people close to Vince McMahon told him that it was a bad idea for him to wrestle at Wrestlemania 38.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
McMahon was said to have made the decision to wrestle on the show months ago, and numerous people close to him and on the creative team vocally expressed that they thought it was a terrible idea.
My Take:
- Even though Vince had the botch of the Stunner, I enjoyed the hell out of his segment/ match at Mania. I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
2) Backstage Note On Roman Reigns (Part 1)
According to Andrew Zarian on the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, WWE isn’t sure what they are going to do with Roman Reigns and his Unified WWE Championship. They are still deciding on the long-term plans.
Here is what Zarian said:
“As far as I know, and this is something I was told, it hasn’t been decided yet on how they’re doing this. Like, the concept of how they’re going to do this unified title thing, I don’t think they’ve decided if he’s going to be on Raw every week or every other week. It hasn’t been set yet. They’re working all this out right now on how they’re going to play this out.”
My Take:
- I am not surprised by this. Sounds like WWE.
