Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Backstage Note On Jinder Mahal’s New Faction
There have been fans asking about the status of Saurav Gurjar, who was tag team partner’s with Veer in NXT. This comes after Gurjar did not move to the main roster with Veer. Instead, Veer and a wrestler named Shanky became the new bodyguards for Jinder Mahal.
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), Gurjar was deemed “not television ready” by WWE management. He is now back in India and there are no plans for him to return to TV:
We’ve been told that at the moment, Saurav Gurjar is actually back home in India and has been for quite a while. We’ve heard of no plans for him to return to television imminently.
My Take:
- I definitely feel bad for the guy. Unfortunately, that is how things go in WWE. Maybe he will get another chance in the future.
4) The Miz Receives Big Props From The WWE Locker Room
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), The Miz received a lot of praise from the WWE locker room. This came after he finished his match against Damian Priest at Backlash, with a torn ACL.
Here is what Sapp said:
As seen on the show, there was a specific finish they were getting to, and Miz was applauded, figuratively, for making sure he got there despite serious injury. This is the first major injury of Miz’s career
My Take:
- The Miz is one tough dude. ACL tears are no joke and to be able to finish a match with one is pretty crazy. Props to him.
