Rumor Roundup: How John Cena Views Bray Wyatt, Vince Changes Plans For Ricochet, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Vince McMahon Changed The Plans For Ricochet On RAW

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ricochet was not originally scheduled to face Riddick Moss on RAW. Meltzer says that Moss was originally supposed to face off against R-Truth on the episode.

Vince McMahon ended up changing this at the last moment to Ricochet vs Moss. He also called for Moss to beat Ricochet clean.

It is unclear why Vince made this change but Ricochet losing to Moss was not in the original script.

My Take:

  • This has been a rough week for Ricochet. He was squashed in his WWE Title match against Brock Lesnar and didn’t get any offense in. He also lost clean to Riddick Moss, who is the 24/7 Champion. Ricochet must have pissed someone off backstage because that is a rough week.

4) Those In NXT Are Hopeful That They Could Convince Matt Hardy To Join NXT

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful says that he reached out to Matt Hardy about the reports of him signing with AEW. Matt says that he is still considering offers and hasn’t made a decision yet.

Sapp says that there are those in NXT who are hopeful that they can convince him to hang around with their brand:

I reached out to Matt Hardy to ask about reports that he’d “made a decision” on AEW. He stated that any information to that regard would be speculation, and he’s still weighing offers. I get the feeling he’d probably not spoil that even if he weren’t, but people on NXT’s side of things were hopeful that they could convince him to hang around under their banner.

My Take:

  • I think Matt is definitely heading to AEW. Still, I could also see him going to NXT for a year or so and then transitioning into a full-time coach at the WWE performance center. Both are great options for him.
