Rumor Roundup: Keith Lee Update, John Cena’s WWE Return, More

3) Rumor Killer On WWE Changing The Name Of The Hell In A Cell PPV

WWE Network News announced that on June 20th, there will be something airing on Peacock called WWE The Ultimate Show: Ultimate Hell in a Cell. This led to some speculation from some websites that WWE is planning to change the name of the Hell in a Cell PPV. This would be similar to them changing the name of Backlash to Wrestlemania Backlash.

According to WrestlingNews.co, Ultimate Hell in a Cell will be the name of a special episode of The Bump and won’t be a change to the actual PPV name.

My Take:

  • This is good to hear. Hell in a Cell is a great name and they don’t need to add anything else to it.

2) Speculation On The Plans For Apollo Crews’ Next Title Match

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer speculated that Apollo Crews’ next opponent for the Intercontinental Championship will be Kevin Owens.

Here is what Meltzer said:

“They give Aleister Black a program with Big E. Big E is out of the Intercontinental thing. I don’t know… so, it could be Kevin Owens [for the IC Title], just go harder with him because Sami is a heel, so Kevin Owens is probably the likely guy [against Apollo Crews].”

My Take:

  • Apollo vs Owens sounds like a fun match. Maybe it will happen at Hell in a Cell? We will have to wait and see.
